I absolutely love working with Kate Lyster and the Base Camp design team. She delivered so much more than we expected. We really enjoyed working with her and getting to know her during our remodeling project. She has a great attitude and handled any construction hiccups with grace and good humor and somehow found timely and budget friendly solutions to everything. She made the process easy for us. We bought a dated and somewhat tired looking vacation rental that had good bones and potential and had Base Camp do the redesign and remodel.

Provided selections that we loved, quick responses to our questions or changes and were very professional and fun to work with. Kate helped guide us through a major build on Lake Pend Oreille. She took into consideration our aesthetic and helped us choose materials and furnishings that completed our vision, a tough assignment given the disparity between my taste and my husband's. When we had difficulty finding furnishings, she worked with us and local artisans to create custom furnishings for our home. As with any build, we had some design obstacles, but Kate helped alleviate the issues in beautiful, creative ways and helped "talk us off the ledge" a few times. The Base Camp Design team is always so responsive and communication is very open and positive.

We have used Kates team on occasion... her attention to detail and follow through helped us with quick and successful closings. The Base Camp team always has handled the process with respect and kindness! Base Camp is a win in or book!

We recently used Kate and her team to remodel our ski cabin at Schweitzer Mtn. She took our outdated ski cabin and turned it into a fresh, bright and modern retreat that we love. Her team's creativity and their close working relationships with other local professionals ensured the final product exceeded all of our expectations. Throughout our project Kate thoroughly listened to any questions we had and in the end, all of her design recommendations were spot-on! We were so pleased with the Base Camp Team that we plan to work with them again this year as we build our dream home in Sandpoint.

The process of building a new home is stressful to say the least. The amount of decisions to be made is staggering. Throughout our entire process, Kate remained a constant.
