A North Idaho farmstead transformed by Elliott Cole Home, marrying an original log home with contemporary architecture, natural materials and modern interiors.
North Idaho
FINAL RESIDENCE
Set on an expansive acreage in North Idaho’s Selle Valley,
this farmstead follows the Pack River with sweeping views toward Schweitzer.
Our work centered on poetically uniting the original log structure with a
contemporary addition, allowing two distinct architectural forms to read as
one.
Deep espresso-stained logs create a dramatic backdrop for
natural stone, warm woods, tactile textiles and quietly modern furnishings.
Organic materials soften the architecture while honoring its connection to the
land. Designed for an active family of five, the home also includes a dedicated
collection room celebrating the owners’ passion for fossil hunting—a deeply
personal layer within a home shaped by landscape, discovery and family life.
